Student answer (Band 6.5)
Physical fitness has a very important role in one's life because it not only provides physical strength but also works like magic for the mental well-being. An increased number of health issues are being experienced by some people due to lack of exercise as their schedules are too busy to keep some time for doing so.
Initially, one reason for this is the increased workload at workspaces. Some people have a huge load of things to finish at work that leaves no time for physical activities. It takes almost all of the working shifts to complete the assigned tasks and taking a break can be very difficult. Thus, there is no free time during work that can be utilized for exercise. Furthermore, the constant use of mobile phone consumes all the time when no work is being done. People are spending a lot of time on social media and they forget about their body. For instance, if someone is free they just start watching reels or playing games on their phones or tablets and completely ignore the importance of exercise. Consequently, health issues are keep on inclining, along with higher stress and depression rates.
However, these problems can be solved with proper work-life balance and attention from companies. To explain, people need to be aware about the importance of exercise. Everybody must keep some time at any point in the day to have a walk or go to the gym, even if they only get ten minutes. This routine should be followed very strictly. Moreover, companies ought to motivate their employees to take part in physical activities. For example, a small gym can be set up in the offices, where workers can spend some time for exercise and health competitions should be organized at workplaces where the best performers can be given prizes. Thus, employees will be motivated to take part in physical activities by establishing such arrangements and rewards.
To conclude, although it can be difficult for some people to exercise because of hectic schedule and the habit of scrolling social media in free time, but it is everyone's responsibility to take care of themselves and the employees working for them. On personal level, the routine should be adjusted to attend a gym or at home exercises. In addition, it should be necessary for employers to motivate the workers for exercise by provide facilities and rewards for better physique and improved immune system.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant and clearly presented. The position is consistent throughout the essay. While the development is generally good, some points, such as the impact of social media, could be further extended with more specific analysis rather than just listing examples. However, the response covers all requirements of the task well, providing a balanced view of the problem and actionable solutions. The structure is logical, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the main points while offering a final perspective.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is well-organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme, and the progression of ideas is logical. Cohesive devices such as 'Initially', 'Furthermore', 'Consequently', and 'However' are used effectively to link sentences and paragraphs. While some transitions are slightly mechanical, they do not impede the flow of the argument. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the causes from the solutions, which helps the reader follow the writer's line of reasoning. Overall, the coherence and cohesion are strong and support the clarity of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally appropriate for the task and allows for clear communication. The student uses some good collocations like 'work-life balance', 'physical activities', and 'hectic schedule'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies and repetitive phrasing, such as 'health issues are keep on inclining' (should be 'increasing') and 'provide facilities' (should be 'providing'). The range is sufficient to discuss the topic, but it lacks the more sophisticated, precise vocabulary that would elevate the score to a higher band. The word choice is functional but occasionally lacks variety.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There is a good attempt at using complex sentences, such as 'Although it can be difficult for some people to exercise because of hectic schedule...'. However, there are several grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('health issues are keep on inclining') and minor preposition or article errors ('at workspaces' instead of 'in the workplace'). Punctuation is generally accurate, but there are occasional slips. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score in this criterion.
