Student answer (Band 6.0)
From last few years, life has been changed due to the advancement of technology as with the help of machines people do not need to do work physically resulting into lack of physical fitness and some other health issues. This essay will discuss reasons behind not doing exercise along with some possible solutions.
To begin with, why people do not do physical exercise? the first and foremost reason of this is today's busy lifestyle. Both men and women are doing well-paid jobs in these days, therefore, they have hectic schedules and they do not get time to exercise. For instance, many people are working 8 to 12 hours in Amazon, they cannot do any exercise. In addition, children also prefer to play video games instead of playing outdoor sports such as Cricket, Hockey etc. Hence, these are the prime causes for lack of physical exercise.
Moreover, there are some steps that can help to reduce this issue. Firstly, Companies should provide free GYM membership to their employees and conduct some programs about importance of physical fitness to make people aware that "Health is Wealth". Secondly, schools and universities must have have periods and monthly and yearly competitions should be organised. So, these are some solution to improve fitness.
To sum up, although most people are educated and earning handsome salaries in these days, the importance of physical exercise cannot be ignored. Sports in education centres and giving Gym membership to staff members by workplace can play a paramount role to reduce this issue.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation regarding busy schedules is clear, but the example of Amazon employees is brief and lacks depth. The solutions provided, such as gym memberships and school sports, are relevant but could be expanded upon to demonstrate a more thorough exploration of the topic. While the position is clear throughout, the essay would benefit from more detailed supporting arguments to move beyond a basic level of task response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'In addition', 'Moreover', and 'To sum up' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally repetitive. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the transition between the causes and the solutions could be smoother to enhance the overall progression of ideas. The structure is sufficient to follow the writer's argument without difficulty.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'hectic schedules' and 'physical fitness'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is a reliance on simpler phrasing. Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'earning handsome salaries in these days' or 'education centres'. To reach a higher band, the writer should incorporate a wider variety of less common lexical items and demonstrate more precise control over collocations and idiomatic expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'From last few years', 'life has been changed', and 'have have periods'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and spacing. While the errors do not impede communication, they are noticeable and occur with enough frequency to prevent a higher score. The writer needs to focus on subject-verb agreement, article usage, and proofreading to eliminate these persistent minor errors.
