Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, people are unable to include exercise in their routine which creates health issues. The most important reason is that they are busy in fast-pace lifestyle. However, this problem can be solved by spreading awareness about the importance of exercise.
In the fast-pace world, people's lifestyles are changed and they do not able to get time for exercise. Nowadays, people prefer to do specific kind of jobs which requires minimum physical efforts. They spend most of their time on computers which makes them mentally tired. As a result, they avoid exercise and go for relaxation in their free time. This could create health issues such as obesity. For example, many software engineers are facing obesity problem. This is because they are busy to work on computers and they do not get an enough time for exercising. This shows that busy people are generally avoid exercise.
This problem can be resolved by effective awareness campaign. The government and social media influencers should spread awareness about the importance of exercising. The government should release mandate for private companies. This should introduce some kind of physical activities such as sports within the work schedule. This could be helpful for employees as they get opportunity to do physical activities. For example, IT companies must have gyms and conduct weekly sports activities. In additions, influencers should create content regrading the importance of exercise for social media platforms. This could be consumed by many young people and they can understand the importance of exercising. These practices can give a chance to do physical activities and keep people healthy.
To conclude, although individuals are busy in their lives and they do not have a time for physical activities, people change their lifestyles and add exercise with the help of the government and social media influencers.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the sedentary nature of modern office jobs and the role of government mandates. However, the development is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the point about software engineers is used to illustrate the problem, but the explanation lacks depth. The position is clear throughout, but the conclusion is slightly weak as it repeats the problem rather than synthesising the proposed solutions effectively. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more specific analysis or varied examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organised into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'As a result', 'For example', and 'In addition', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly forced. There are also instances where referencing is slightly unclear, such as in the final sentence of the second paragraph where 'This shows that busy people are generally avoid exercise' contains a grammatical error that disrupts the flow. Overall, the progression of ideas is coherent, but the use of cohesive devices could be more natural and varied to improve the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the student to convey their ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'sedentary', 'awareness campaign', and 'physical activities'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'do not able to get time' instead of 'are unable to find time' and 'busy to work' instead of 'busy working'. Some phrasing is also repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'importance of exercise'. Expanding the range of synonyms and focusing on more precise collocations would help elevate the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and articles (e.g., 'do not able to', 'an enough time', 'are generally avoid'). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the message. To improve, the student should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of auxiliary verbs. Increasing the variety of complex structures, such as using more conditional sentences or relative clauses, would also demonstrate better control and range.
