In this modern era, people are busy in their working life as well as in the household things and they prefer their leisure time spend with their family like doing indoor activities such as, playing video games and social media. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention busy schedules and a preference for indoor leisure, the explanation lacks depth and specific examples. The solutions provided are also quite general, such as 'make a schedule' or 'visit the gym'. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or concrete examples of how these changes can be implemented in a real-world context. The position is clear, but the overall argument could be more thoroughly explored.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, 'even that they want spend' and 'So, they do not have much time' are awkward transitions. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the transition between the reasons and the solutions. While there is an attempt to use linking words like 'Additionally' and 'On the other hand', the flow between sentences is often interrupted by grammatical errors, which makes the overall coherence feel slightly strained.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'busy', 'things', and 'problems'. There are also several instances of awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'muscle get softener' and 'sugar level... up and down'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and collocations related to health and lifestyle, rather than relying on simple, everyday phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('people wants to prefer'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms ('they do not want leave'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the errors do not completely prevent communication, they are frequent enough to be distracting and require the reader to re-read certain parts to understand the intended meaning. Increasing the accuracy of basic sentence construction should be your primary focus.
