Student answer (Band 7.0)
It is often observed that working class has limited time to prioritise their physical fitness during the weekdays and in the leisure time, which poses a significant threat to their health. It is mainly due to the hectic schedules and undermined health importance of the present workforce, which can be solved by allocating sufficient time and integrating fitness activities in daily routine.
Nowadays, people have tight schedules, high volume of meetings, and projects at the workplace. Young workers have to work overtime to meet their deadlines and to earn a living in a highly competitive environment. For example. in multinational companies like Google and Meta, employees work 14 hours a day to meet project deadlines. This leads to a constant pressure to prioritise work over physical fitness, which results to chronic health problems like migraine, mental stress, and cardiac arrests. Hence, the working sector has limited time left after their busy schedule to exercise or play any sport.
In order to solve this issue, the management of the companies should promote and facilitate the development of on-site spaces like gym and yoga centres for the overall well-being of their employees. The human resource departments should incorporate a flexible work routine, in which everyone can exercise for some time during the work hours in the office. This approach can motivate people to stay fit and have a healthy work-life balance. As a result, companies can also benefit, because less employees will fall sick and claim sick leaves.
To recapitulate, present day lifestyle of workers have led to neglecting the importance of staying physically fit. Workplaces have to be redesigned to solve this problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the lack of exercise and potential solutions. Your position is clear throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, particularly the explanation regarding workplace pressure and the suggestion for on-site facilities. To reach a higher band, ensure that your examples are more universally applicable; while mentioning specific companies like Google and Meta is interesting, focusing on broader industry trends would strengthen the argument. Additionally, ensure that the link between the problem and the solution is fully explored to avoid minor over-generalizations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. You use some cohesive devices effectively, such as 'In order to solve this issue' and 'To recapitulate'. However, the transition between sentences could be smoother in some places to avoid a slightly mechanical feel. The use of referencing is generally clear, though some cohesive links could be more varied to improve the flow and sophistication of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'hectic schedules', 'work-life balance', and 'chronic health problems' appropriately. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'undermined health importance' (which is slightly awkward) and 'results to' (should be 'results in'). While you attempt some less common vocabulary, the range is somewhat limited. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider variety of academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater nuance and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. Most of your sentences are clear and easy to understand. However, there are some grammatical slips, such as 'working class has' (should be 'the working class has') and 'less employees' (should be 'fewer employees'). Punctuation is generally correct, though there is a stray period in 'For example. in multinational companies'. While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of quantifiers.
