Student answer (Band 5.0)

Now adays everyone knows that fitness is more important than other but no one realize how to achieve it? this is the main point, many people do not bother to exercise in their working hours or free time, this is not easy task to work hard and do exercise daily, people are mostly very busy in their life .they are doing work all the day and night because they are facing many responsibilities in their life how could they manage it they need money for food, house allowance, electricity bill educational fee ,grocery bill and many others that's why many working people do not get time for exercise either during the working day or free time because after work he was so tired and cannot have stamina for exercise or workout .For example a Doctor all the work in OPD and then go to the operation tether and very busy to operate the patients and when he go to the home, he was so tired he cannot go for walk or exercise, so we have to think about it what the solution about this problem . Moreover, in my opinion every problem has their own solution too, at the weekend we can done our enough exercise, we can also manage our working hour or timetable as well because health is wealth every knows that, if everyone want to look, smart they must go for exercise and to spare some time for it

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for inactivity and suggesting solutions. However, the development is limited and the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the score. The ideas, such as financial pressure and fatigue, are relevant but lack depth and academic support. The example of the doctor is a good start but is not fully expanded to illustrate the broader societal issue. To improve, you should provide more detailed explanations and ensure the response meets the length requirement to fully develop your arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no formal introduction or conclusion, and the text is essentially composed of two long, run-on paragraphs. Cohesive devices are used in a very basic or mechanical way, such as 'Moreover' and 'For example', but the flow between sentences is often disjointed. The lack of clear paragraphing makes it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. You should focus on using clear topic sentences for each paragraph and employing a wider range of linking words to connect your ideas more logically.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'work', 'busy', and 'exercise'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'operation tether' (likely meaning operating theatre) and 'we can done our enough exercise'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary to include more precise, topic-specific terms and demonstrate a better grasp of collocations and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('everyone knows... no one realize'), tense consistency, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, making them difficult to parse. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the ones attempted are often inaccurate. For example, 'how could they manage it they need money' lacks proper punctuation or conjunctions. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and punctuation before attempting more complex structures.
