Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by identifying reasons why working people lack exercise, such as busy household routines and lack of interest, and suggests solutions like task-sharing, community parks, and peer motivation. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the explanation regarding women taking care of children and doing housework is a bit superficial and could have been extended with greater depth. Generalisations are made without fully exploring the underlying societal or workplace pressures. Nevertheless, a clear stance is maintained throughout the response, ensuring that the main requirements of the task are satisfied to a reasonable standard, aligning with a band 5.5 or 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing causes and solutions, and a brief conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward referencing and mechanical cohesive devices, such as the repeated use of 'to explain it' and 'furthermore'. Paragraphing is attempted, but some paragraphs feel dense and run-on with poorly controlled transitions. For example, the transition from discussing household chores to lack of interest lacks smooth connection. Although the overall arrangement is somewhat coherent and the reader can follow the writer's intent, the mechanical nature of the cohesive ties and occasional lapses in referencing limit the effectiveness of the organisational structure.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally strain comprehension. Examples include 'exersice' instead of exercise, 'unactive' instead of inactive, 'sittution' instead of situation, and 'freash' instead of fresh. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'obesity', 'motivation', and 'physical activities', but these are often undermined by inaccurate collocations or grammatical word forms, such as 'giving priority to all works take a nap'. The range is minimally adequate for the task, but the high frequency of spelling and lexical inaccuracies keeps the score at this level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is weak throughout. There are frequent errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and article usage, such as 'many working individuals not give proper efforts', 'most of people doing rest', and 'India goverment make big parks'. Punctuation is also problematic, particularly with inconsistent spacing around commas and periods. While the writer attempts complex structures like relative clauses and conditional ideas, these are frequently faulty and can cause occasional difficulty for the reader. The control of basic grammar needs substantial improvement.
