Student answer (Band 6.0)
For working individuals, it is hard to fit in exercise in their daily lives, whether during the workday or in their leisure time. As a result, they suffer from several diseases. However, there are numerous reasons why they do not do enough exercise, such as feeling tired after work and not having enough time, because nowadays the majority of individuals enrol in multiple jobs to fulfill the basic needs of the family. Getting proper sleep and eating healthy food help people to solve this problem. In this essay, I will discuss these points briefly with relevant examples.
To commence with, due to inflation, the prices of goods are continuously rising, and most of the people work multiple jobs so that they fulfil all the needs of the family. For this reason, they do not have enough time to go for a morning walk or do any exercise at home. Moreover, for aiming to earn more money, people push their bodies a lot, that negetavily affect their health. For example, a survey conducted by the World Health Organisation in 2025 found that more than 50 per cent of the population faced depression and other health-related problems because they work more than 40 hours a week and do not focus on their diet. Hence, proper exercise is beneficial for a healthy lifestyle.
Furthermore, there are significant ways; with the help of these, we can solve this problem. The first and foremost solution is regular sleep. A study showed that every individual must get 8 hours of sleep so that the next day they will feel relaxed and fresh. Secondly, avoid junk food; healthy food is the key to a healthy life. To elaborate on it, nutritious food provides energy and helps individuals to fight viruses easily.
In conclusion, not performing any workout is a major concern, but taking necessary steps helps individuals to spend a happy and healthy life without any diseases.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both the reasons why working people do not get enough exercise—such as economic pressures, working multiple jobs, and fatigue—and solutions, including regular sleep and maintaining a healthy diet. However, the solutions proposed in the second and third body paragraphs (sleep and diet) shift away from physical exercise itself, which slightly limits the direct relevance of the task response. The position is clear, and ideas are supported with examples, such as the referenced WHO survey. The arguments are generally well-developed, but connecting sleep and diet more explicitly to how they enable physical activity would have strengthened the overall task fulfillment. Therefore, the response aligns well with the Band 6.5 to 7.0 profile, earning a solid Band 6.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is structured into clear paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a logical progression of ideas overall, moving from causes to solutions. Cohesive devices are employed, such as "To commence with," "Moreover," and "Furthermore," although some transitions feel a bit mechanical or formulaic. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct points, such as the economic causes in the second paragraph and the lifestyle solutions in the third. Referencing is generally clear, though minor improvements in linking the overarching argument across paragraphs would enhance the flow. Overall, the organization meets the criteria for Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as "inflation," "leisure time," "nutritious food," and "depression." There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, though some word choices and collocations are slightly unnatural or inaccurate, such as "push their bodies a lot" instead of overexert themselves, or "fight viruses easily" rather than boost immunity. Spelling is generally accurate, but minor lexical infelicities occur throughout. The vocabulary range is sufficient to communicate the main ideas clearly without causing confusion, placing the response comfortably within the Band 6.0 range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. There are several grammatical errors and awkward phrasings, such as "it is hard to fit in exercise in their daily lives" and "due to inflation, the prices of goods are continuously rising, and most of the people work multiple jobs so that they fulfil all the needs." Additionally, there is a spelling error with "negetavily." Despite these errors, they rarely impede communication, and the meaning remains clear throughout. The control over grammar represents a solid Band 6.0 performance.
