Student answer (Band 6.0)

Exercise is very important for healthy life. but nowdays many office and working people get little or no exercise because hey have no time during their work and even in their free time. for this there could be several reasons which I will talk about in the upcoming paragraphes along with its solutions.

The first reason is that, people gets very busy in their schedule taht tehy don't have much time to spend on their exercise. Becasue many of them working in a cooprative job or in any company where they haev to go at least 8 to 9 hour job. Furthermore, some of them are living far from their job site so they ahve to travel by bus or their car which waste their almost 1 to 2 hours in traffic.

Apart from that, if the working people have off on their weekends they don't do the exercise because they were so tired from their work and they thought they just have one or two days to rest, so they don't want to waste their time to do exercise or they just feel lazy. Rather than to do exercise they love to go outside and spend time with their friends and have fun. And that results them that they haev health problems. For instance, A survey shows in 2018 that 70% people are suffering from the health rpoblems becucse they are not doing just the basic exercise after eating thier dinner.

The one solution is that, the companies should have to organise a 15 to 20 minutes class in morning so their staff member can do exercise. Which helps not only the people but also the companie if their staff is healthy and fit to do more work with fresh and healthy mind. The other solution is that, the government should also encourge people to paricipate in the free organized exercise events like yoga. For example, in my city there is a place where every morning people go to yoga together, and as a result they are helathy and energentic.

In conclusion, people have to aware by themselves to do exercise on daily basis if they want to be helathy. And the exercise will not only benifit them only by the physical health but it will also help them mentally.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt directly, discussing why working people lack exercise—such as busy schedules, long working hours, and commuting times, coupled with tiredness on weekends—and offering viable solutions, including workplace exercise programmes and government-sponsored yoga events. The position is clear throughout, and relevant ideas are extended and supported with examples, such as the mention of a 2018 survey and the author's local community experience. While some of the supporting points are slightly informal and generalisations are present, all parts of the task are well-covered, aligning closely with the Band 7 requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response is logically organized with a clear overall progression. Each paragraph has a distinct focus, moving from an introduction to causes, and then to solutions and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to connect ideas, such as 'The first reason is that', 'Apart from that', and 'The one solution is that'. However, referencing and transitions are sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'For this there could be several reasons' and 'And that results them that they have health problems', which indicates a tendency towards repetitive or formulaic transitional phrases, placing this securely at a Band 6.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items and phrases such as 'cooperative job', 'energy', and 'health problems'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'nowdays', 'paragraphes', 'taht', 'tehy', 'Becasue', 'haev', 'ahve', 'benifit', and 'helathy'. These lexical and spelling errors occur frequently, though they rarely impede overall communication, which aligns well with the Band 6 descriptor for Lexical Resource.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, incorporating subordinate clauses and conditional elements. However, there are persistent grammatical errors in sentence construction, agreement, and prepositions, such as 'people gets very busy', 'many of them working in a cooprative job', 'which waste their almost 1 to 2 hours', and 'the companies should have to organise'. Punctuation is also weak in places, including lowercase sentence beginnings ('but nowdays', 'for this') and fragmented phrasing. Because errors are frequent and sometimes cause the reader hesitation, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
