Student answer (Band 5.5)

Most individuals, who are doing jobs, are not doing physical activities not only in working days but also in their leisure time.Due to this they have to face health issues.I will discuss the reasons behind this situation with solutions in upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, there are many causes why workers do not do exercise.First and foremost, they do not have proper time management. To explain it,they do not make daily schedule for each task due to this they either spend more time on useless thing or waste time on thinking about next step. For example,in every company they have daily schedule about doing things which help them to complete work on time. Therefore, if people will make their timetable then they can save time for physical activities. Moreover, free time they mostly spend on sleeping because they think that it helps to relax but 7-8 hours sleep is helpful for each person. Thus, they become lazy, because of this they do not go anywhere.

However, there are number of measures to solve this trouble.Firstly,Managing the time in proper way.Because when they will make plan for each day then they can save some time to do physical activities due to this they will neither get any health issues nor mental. For instance, people who do jobs they can go to gym in morning, evening or night becuase when they know about their shifts, they can go according to that.Furthermore, they can join online classes for yoga or gym.To justify it,as they will get enrolled in online classes then they can go excecise at their home. They do not have to go anywhere.

In conclusion, people do not do workout because of time and spending free time on sleeping but this can be solved by making daily time table and they can join online classes so they can do it at home.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by identifying reasons why working people lack exercise, such as poor time management and excessive sleeping, and provides solutions like scheduling and online classes. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. While the causes are discussed, the explanation regarding sleep is somewhat repetitive, and the example regarding company schedules is slightly unclear in connecting workplace habits to personal time management. To reach a higher band, the response would need to extend and support all ideas more thoroughly with clearer reasoning and more precise examples throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate causes and solutions. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'However' are employed to guide the reader, although referencing and linking can occasionally feel slightly mechanical or repetitive, as seen with phrases like 'To explain it' and 'To justify it'. The progression of ideas is generally clear, capturing the transitional qualities of a mid-level performance that bridges the gap between standard organisation and more seamless paragraph transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating everyday concepts. There are attempts to use less common items and phrasing, such as 'physical activities', 'time management', and 'online classes', but these are accompanied by noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word form. For instance, writing 'do excecise at their home' instead of 'do exercise at home', and repetitive usage of phrases like 'do exercise' or 'do workout'. Spelling errors, such as 'becuase' and 'excecise', also appear. These lexical limitations and occasional errors reflect a restricted range and prevent the vocabulary score from rising further.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text displays a limited range of sentence structures, relying on a mix of simple forms and attempts at complex sentences which are frequently faulty. There are noticeable errors in grammar, punctuation, and article usage throughout the text, such as missing articles ('in morning, evening or night'), awkward prepositional phrasing ('do exercise at their home'), and comma splices or missing spaces after punctuation marks. While these errors do not completely impede overall communication, their frequency means the writing falls short of a higher band where a greater proportion of error-free sentences and better control of complex structures would be expected.
