Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you identify long working hours, tiredness, and sedentary routines as reasons, then suggest short activity breaks and reorganising the day. These points are relevant, and the examples of walking or doing push-ups make the proposed actions more concrete. However, the explanation remains general and some ideas are unclear or insufficiently developed. For instance, the claim that people can make time by reducing sleep is not well justified and may suggest an unhealthy solution. The conclusion also introduces “laziness,” which was not explained in the essay. To strengthen the response, explain how workplace demands or personal routines restrict exercise, and develop practical solutions such as employer-provided breaks or active commuting.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “However” help readers follow the main stages. However, some links are mechanical or do not clearly express the relationship between ideas. For example, “To begin it” is an awkward opening, and “Along with this they can solve if…” leaves the connection between the solution and the problem unclear. The conclusion repeats earlier points rather than bringing them together, and the final sentence is difficult to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each explanation directly to its example or consequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “sedentary lifestyle,” “obesity,” “physical movement,” and “reschedule.” This gives you a basic range for discussing causes and solutions. However, word choice, collocation, and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning harder to understand. Examples include “work on their physical body,” “shot break,” “unnessery tasks,” and “muscle lose.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “people are not schedule their work life balance properly.” Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions such as “maintain a healthy work-life balance” and “take a short break” would make your ideas clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using clauses to explain causes and results, as in “They might got tired from their work so can not manage time to do exercise.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur throughout. For example, “It happen due to various reasons” needs a correctly formed verb, while “individuals are not schedule” has an incorrect verb pattern. The sentence beginning “To take an example” also combines several ideas without a clear grammatical structure. Practise accurate present-tense forms and build longer sentences around one clear main clause, checking that each clause has a subject and correctly formed verb.
