Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You attempt to address both questions by describing tiredness after work as a reason for not exercising and mentioning that some workers go to a gym. However, the response does not clearly explain the wider causes of insufficient exercise, and the second question—what employers, workers, or governments could do—is not answered with practical solutions. The paragraph about workers who already exercise does not resolve this gap. The conclusion is also difficult to interpret and does not summarise a clear answer to both parts. To strengthen the response, state distinct causes and propose specific measures, such as workplace activity breaks or affordable exercise facilities, then explain how each could help.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and phrases such as “On the first” and “On the other hand” signal transitions. However, the ideas are not arranged in a clear progression: the first body paragraph discusses fatigue, while the next shifts to people who already exercise rather than developing solutions. Several sentences repeat the same point about work and rest, and links such as “When” and “Because” do not always show the intended relationship. The conclusion is hard to follow. Plan one paragraph for causes and another for solutions, and connect each example directly to its main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses a small set of relevant words, including “work,” “exercise,” “free time,” “rest,” and “health problems,” so the general topic is recognisable. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “petty not exercise” and “a major dieases of health problems” do not express the intended ideas clearly; “jym” and “workeng” are also misspelled. Build a more precise range for causes and solutions, such as “physically demanding,” “fatigue,” “sedentary,” and “workplace facilities,” and check spelling and natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic connectors, but sentence structures are very limited and errors are frequent enough to obscure meaning. Verb forms and agreement are often inaccurate, as in “worker doing work” and “they will doing a exercise”; articles and sentence boundaries are also problematic. The sentence beginning “For example, One worker will doing…” contains several errors that make the example difficult to understand. Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, including the full stop before “they will not exercise.” Practise forming clear simple sentences first, then add accurate clauses with “because” or “although”; check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries.
