Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is undoubtedly true that, health is our real wealth. Nowadays, majority of the workers suffering from health related issues due to lack of appropriate physical exercise on their working or non-working days. There are various contributing factors leading this issue such as extended working hours, laziness, and lack of knowledge about health related issues caused by inactive lifestyle.
The first contributor of this trend is overtime working hours. As a result of escalating cost of basic expenses individuals are forced to work extra hours. Which give them little or no time for themselves, and eventually impact their physical and mental well-being. For instance, an office employee, who works on 12 hrs shift can barely make time for gym after a long exhausting day. After few years same person starts facing backache problems due to dearth of physical movement.
In addition, lack of knowledge and laziness are another significant factors to consider. These days majority of the people are know little or completely unaware about the long term side-effects of lethargic lifestyle. They waste most of their free time on scrolling. Because they find scrolling easy and comfortable. That cause issues like obesity in a long run.
Therefore, to combat with this issue, companies should reduce or limit working hours for their employees. So that they can get some spare time for their well-being. Secondly, big companies should introduce gym in the office building and also encourage their employees to stay active by explaining the benefits if regular exercise through health campaigns or workshops.
To recapitulate, there are numerous reasons behind inactive lifestyle of working individuals which is costing heavy toll on their overall health. Hence, only combined efforts from both employees and employer can address this issue properly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both questions and maintain a clear focus on why workers exercise too little and how the problem could be tackled. Extended working hours are explained with a relevant example of an employee on a 12-hour shift, and your proposals—limiting hours, providing workplace gyms, and running health campaigns—are practical. The response also identifies inactivity and limited awareness as causes. However, the discussion of laziness and scrolling is less fully explained than the overtime point, and the solutions could be linked more explicitly to each cause. To strengthen the response further, develop the effects of workplace measures and explain how campaigns might change employees’ habits, rather than mainly listing actions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall progression: an introduction, two paragraphs explaining causes, a paragraph proposing solutions, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “The first contributor,” “In addition,” and “Therefore” help readers follow the argument, and the example is placed appropriately within the discussion of long hours. Some connections are less smooth, however. “Which give them little or no time” is separated from its preceding sentence, while “Because they find scrolling easy and comfortable” forms a fragment rather than a fully connected explanation. The conclusion also repeats the general point without drawing together the specific causes and remedies. More varied, accurately connected transitions and clearer links between each cause and its solution would make the progression more fluent.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.5
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “escalating cost,” “physical and mental well-being,” “side-effects,” and “health campaigns.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and the meaning is generally clear. There are also some inaccurate or unnatural collocations and word choices, such as “overtime working hours,” “combat with this issue,” and “costing heavy toll,” which reduce precision. “Lethargic lifestyle” is not the most natural way to describe inactivity in this context, and “scrolling” could be specified as scrolling on a phone or social media. Aim for more conventional collocations and precise phrasing, while retaining the useful topic-specific vocabulary already present.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a conditional-style example about an office employee and a sentence explaining the consequences of long shifts. However, some errors in sentence formation, agreement, articles, and punctuation remain. For example, “Which give them little or no time” is an incomplete sentence, and “That cause issues” has a subject–verb agreement error. The opening comma in “It is undoubtedly true that, health is our real wealth” is misplaced, while “majority of the workers suffering” lacks a finite verb. There are also awkward constructions such as “can combat with this issue.” Check that every sentence has a complete main clause, and review agreement and article use. Greater accuracy in these areas would support your attempts at complex sentences.
