Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, people are more busy in their daily life. So, they do not have enogh time for doing exercise or other things because of it they may face health problems. there are several reasons for this situation. I will discuss this essay in the following paragraphs.
This paragraph will describe why many employee do not get any exercise. To begin with, one most important reason is that many people spend most of their working day sitting at a desk. After work, they feel tierd and not have energy for doing any thing. So, they prefer to rest at home rather than going for walk or gym. Moreover, my workers have family responsibilites with their office work, such as look after children or also sometimes do household works. That is why they have little free time in their busy routine. For example, an office worker spend most of the day sitting and after all he feel tierd and get not ready for doing any kind of exercies in evening.
There are several ways to deal with problem. Employers could encourage their workers to relax their body during the working hours. For instance, they could provide llittle walking break after lunch break, or offer a small gym at working place where wokers do some exercises when they are free and they have less work. These activities could also help to reduse workers stress and because of it individuals can improve their healthy routine as well. Also, employee should use stairs rather than lifts.
In conclusion, many working people do not exercise because they feel tierd after doing work. but the employer can make workplaces more active because it encourage employye to do some simple exercise in their everyday routine.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions: you explain that desk-based work, tiredness after work, and family duties reduce opportunities to exercise, then suggest workplace breaks, a gym, and taking the stairs. These are relevant ideas, and the example of an office worker helps illustrate the cause. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the workplace gym suggestion could be developed by explaining how employers might make it accessible during the day, while the stairs suggestion is brief and not linked to workers who may have limited time or mobility. The introduction and conclusion also repeat the general point without adding much. Develop each main solution with a clear explanation of how it would address the causes you identify.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Ideas generally follow a sensible order, and linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “For instance” help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, particularly “This paragraph will describe” and “There are several ways to deal with problem,” which announce the paragraph rather than connect ideas naturally. The example repeats the earlier point about tiredness instead of extending the discussion. There are also unclear references, such as “because of it” and “These activities,” where the connection could be more precise. Use topic sentences that state the point directly and make links between cause and solution clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “family responsibilities,” “working hours,” “walking break,” and “workplace.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, sometimes making the reader pause: “enogh,” “tierd,” “responsibilites,” “exercies,” and “reduse.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “relax their body” and “do any exercise.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. You could use more precise expressions such as “take a short activity break,” “feel exhausted,” or “maintain a healthy routine.” This would make the response clearer and more fluent without requiring unusually advanced vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “rather than,” and “where,” so there is some variety. The main meaning is usually understandable, but errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur across the response. For example, “many employee do not get any exercise” needs a plural noun, and “an office worker spend” needs a matching verb form. In “After work, they feel tierd and not have energy,” the second verb phrase is not correctly formed. Capitalisation after full stops is also inconsistent, as in “but the employer.” Practise checking each sentence for a complete, correctly formed verb phrase and consistent subject–verb agreement.
