Student answer (Band 6.0)

In present world, people are busy then they were before due to hectic lifestyle and workload. As a result, many working people are not getiing suficient time for workout or do small physical activity. due to less or no exercise, people are affecting with various health problems. There are some reason why people are not doing enough exercise. But these problem can be solve by company they work for and personal care.

To begin with reason, time could be one of the reason. People spend whole week at workplace and they want to relax on weekends. Due to busy week hours, they prefer sleep, go out with friends and family over exercise in their free time. Another reason could be less knowledge aboout importance of exercise. Some people do have either little or none information regarding how bad it could be if they don't do any physical activities.

There are some ways to solve this problem. First, company should organize an event and invite a person who can motivate people and inform how physical exercise play role in thier life. Also, company can arrange free health chekup for employees. These can help individuals to understand if they have any health related issue or not and if they do have any then how can they solve with exercise. Government can also play an important role. Authorities can arrange an event in which they can offer free exercise activities along with benifits of exercise in their life.

To sum up, less time for working people to exercise can be challenging. I believe that if organisation and government can take some nessary steps then this proble could be solve effectively.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus: lack of time and limited awareness are given as reasons, while workplace events, health checks and government activities are proposed as responses. The main ideas are understandable, but some are only briefly explained. For example, you say workers prefer to “sleep, go out with friends and family” at weekends, but do not explain how work schedules or fatigue make exercise difficult. Similarly, the proposed events and health checks would be stronger if you explained how they would lead to regular activity, rather than simply raising awareness. Your conclusion restates the problem and the need for action, but does not add a clear summary of the specific solutions. Develop each point with a practical explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. This makes the progression easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with” and “To sum up” help the reader identify each stage. The cause-and-solution paragraphs also keep related ideas together. However, some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “There are some…” and “Another reason could be…”. Connections between individual points could be made more explicit; for instance, explain how a workplace health check connects to the suggested exercise support. The reference “These can help individuals” is also not fully clear because it could refer to the event, the health check, or both. More varied transitions and precise referencing would make the cohesion more natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “workload,” “physical activities,” “health-related issue” and “authorities.” There are also attempts to use more formal expressions, such as “play an important role” and “take some necessary steps.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, which limits precision. Phrases such as “busy then they were before,” “people are affecting with various health problems” and “free exercise activities” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Spelling errors, including “suficient,” “aboout,” “chekup” and “benifits,” are noticeable and weaken control of vocabulary. Build a wider set of accurate collocations for discussing exercise, workplace routines and public-health measures, and proofread spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if they don’t do any physical activities” and a relative clause in “the company they work for.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main message is generally recoverable. However, errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement and articles occur across the response. Examples include “people are not getiing suficient time,” “people are affecting with various health problems,” “company should organize” and “this problem could be solve.” The opening comparison, “busy then they were before,” also needs a correct comparative form. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, as in the lowercase “due” after the first full stop. Review subject–verb agreement, passive forms, articles and sentence boundaries, then check each sentence for a complete and correctly formed clause.
