Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

The response touches on the topic by suggesting that exercise during working hours could benefit employees’ mental approach and the workforce. However, it does not explain why working people lack exercise, and it offers only a very limited suggestion without explaining how it could be put into practice. The opening is incomplete, ending with “health problems as,” and the response does not develop a clear answer to both questions or provide a relevant example. It contains 99 words, which is 151 words below the required minimum; this leaves too little space to address the task adequately. To improve, explain several causes, such as long hours or commuting, then develop practical measures and support them with examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic connection between the topic and the suggestion that exercise during work hours may help employees, but the response has little overall progression. It begins with an unfinished observation, then shifts to a general statement about health and a possible workplace benefit without clearly organising these as causes and solutions. The phrase “precisely” does not establish a clear relationship with the preceding fragment, and the quotation about work and play does not help guide the argument. Use separate paragraphs for reasons and solutions, and connect each point explicitly—for example, explain a cause, then show how a specific measure addresses it. A complete introduction and conclusion would also make the response easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response attempts some topic-related vocabulary, including “exercise,” “working hour,” “healthwise,” and “work force,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is narrow, and several choices or spellings are inaccurate or unnatural: “workig,” “exerciise,” “siting the saying,” and “profer” make parts difficult to interpret. Phrases such as “a good number of are people” and “mental approach of a worker” are also unclear or awkward. Build a more accurate set of expressions for causes and solutions, such as “sedentary jobs,” “long working hours,” “physical activity,” and “workplace exercise breaks.” Check spelling and collocation, and use vocabulary that states each idea precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response shows an attempt to use more than simple statements, including “because…” and the relative clause “that will positively affect the work force.” However, sentence control is weak in several places. The opening is incomplete (“…health problems as”), while “a good number of are people having…” has a faulty word order and missing grammatical structure. In “Indulging in an exercise in-between working hour can…,” the subject and the rest of the sentence do not form a clear, natural construction. The final sentence also contains an unclear phrase, “the workers mental approach of a worker.” Practise complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, plurals, and clause structure. More accurate simple sentences would make the ideas clearer before adding complex forms.
