Student answer (Band 4.5)
In this modern and busy life, many working people get less or no time to exercise and as a result get health problems. I agree with the situation that people are not able to manage both health and job at a same time.
firslty, people having job gets tired and are not able to manage their time after the long shift. sometime people do more than one job and have to prep their meals so it gets difficult to manage time for enough exercise. For instance, International Students in abroad have to manage their studies, part time jobs and meals prepration. Due to this, they do not get enough time to exercise which leads to health issues.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify a relevant cause: long shifts and competing responsibilities can leave workers tired and short of time. The example of international students balancing study, part-time work and meal preparation helps illustrate this point. However, the response addresses only the first question and gives no measures to solve the problem, so the task is covered only partially. The opening also says, “I agree with the situation,” but does not establish a clear position or explain the issue further. The response is 117 words, below the required 250, which leaves too little space to develop the causes and propose practical solutions. To improve, explain more than one cause and add specific actions, such as workplace exercise breaks or affordable community facilities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic sequence: an introduction is followed by a paragraph explaining why people may lack time to exercise, and “For instance” introduces a relevant example. This gives the reader some sense of the relationship between the ideas. However, the response ends without a conclusion or a paragraph addressing solutions, so there is no complete progression through the task. The linking phrase “Due to this” is understandable, but the ideas around it are not developed enough to show clearly how the example supports the general point. The paragraph also combines several causes—fatigue, multiple jobs and meal preparation—without organising or explaining them separately. Use distinct paragraphs for causes and solutions, and connect each explanation to a specific example or consequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the central idea, including “long shift,” “manage their time,” “part time jobs” and “health issues.” These phrases are relevant, and the example is understandable. However, the range is limited and some expressions are awkward or imprecise, such as “get less or no time,” “at a same time” and “in abroad.” Spelling errors in “firslty,” “sometime” and “prepration” are noticeable and reduce accuracy. Try to use more precise collocations for causes and solutions, such as “time constraints,” “physically demanding shifts” and “workplace exercise programmes.” Proofreading spelling and choosing natural phrases will make your meaning clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response includes simple sentences and an attempt at a complex cause-and-effect sentence: “Due to this, they do not get enough time to exercise which leads to health issues.” The main meaning is generally understandable, but grammatical control is inconsistent. For example, “people having job gets tired” has problems with the subject and verb agreement, while “people … are not able to manage both health and job” has awkward article and number choices. “International Students … have to manage” also uses unnecessary capitalisation, though that is not a grammar issue. The sentence beginning “sometime people do more than one job” joins several ideas without clear punctuation. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and plural forms, and use a wider range of sentence patterns with careful punctuation.
