Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you identify busy work schedules, prioritising income, and low motivation as reasons, then describe how regular exercise helped you. The hiking story is relevant and gives a concrete example of the consequences of inactivity. However, the response focuses much more on your personal experience than on explaining the problem generally or setting out what can be done. The proposed solution—spending 20 minutes exercising and encouraging others—is only briefly stated, with little discussion of how workplaces or individuals could make exercise easier. The response is also 7 words below the required minimum. Develop both causes and practical solutions more fully, using the example to support rather than replace that discussion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a recognisable sequence: you introduce reasons, recount your experience, and explain the change you made. Time markers such as “After one month,” “Then one day,” and “After that” help the reader follow the story. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the shift from general causes to the personal example and then to solutions is not clearly signposted. Some links are awkward or unclear, particularly “all these disease are due to no exercise,” and several ideas run together without effective punctuation. Use separate paragraphs for causes, solutions, and your example, and connect them with clear transitions such as “One practical measure” or “This experience illustrates.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “motivated,” “health problems,” “obese,” “hiking,” and “regular exercise,” and the personal account is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less natural: “fatty liver issue,” “maked a plan,” and “council other” do not express the intended ideas appropriately. Spelling errors such as “exersice” and “toWords” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise phrases for causes and solutions, and check spelling and word forms. For example, use “encourage others” rather than “council other,” and “organised a hike” rather than “maked a plan to went on hike.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to describe events in the past and present, and you include some longer sentences, but grammatical control is inconsistent. Errors occur in verb forms and tense, as in “I start gaining weight,” “maked a plan,” and “to went on hike.” There are also problems with sentence boundaries and clause structure: “After one month, I start gaining weight and at the end of two months. I gained 7 kg weight” is broken into an incomplete sentence, while “I shamed of myself” lacks a required verb. Articles, agreement, and punctuation also need attention. Practise accurate past-tense narration and build longer sentences from correctly joined clauses; for instance, “I felt ashamed because I could not walk five kilometres.”
