Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, lifestyle related diseases are increasing day by day due to lack of the time and physical mobility especially in the working people. There are neumours reasons behind such problem and I will elaborate the reasons and solutions in this essay.
First and foremost, if we have to find out the main reasons behind the lack of spare time to do excercise to reduce the risk of getting ill, we have to focous on our daily schedule of work which is in the middle of such development as in the compeititive modern era every one is running from dawn to dusk for earing the money. Nowadays, many people are working 7 days a week to cop with the inflation. Also, some sectors like; healthcare and police has 24*7 duty which spares very less time to focous on their well being. Another reason for having less time for other chores than work is spending long time in the commuting to the workplace and back home. In the metro cities like; Bombay, New-york and Torronto, people have to take 3-4 hours of buffer time on the top of the 8 hours shift to reach workplace and home at the end of the day which left no room for them to go gym or doing exercise for their overall wellbeing as right after reaching home they have other house-hold chores to finish. Also, some people believes that their work is enough for to be physically fit as a result of their lazziness they become the victim of life-style related diseases like, diabeates.
Secondly, if a person wants to spare some time during their working days or on the weekends they have to arrange and prioratize their chores in such manner that they get enough time for their body. Another solution would be to get the enough time for exercise is spending less time with the electronic devices after work, and utilize that time in physical or mental exercise to be fit and fine. Lastly, employees of some sectors like; Human resources, IT and management could request to allow doing work from home which would give better work-llife balance.
To conclude, having a perfect work-life balance is a tough task in the modern era where work is the top most priority for having a good life. In this rat-race people forget to spare time for their physical and mental health which leads to illness and stress. By, managenig the time in the 24-hours of a day, a person can easily get free time for exercise.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses both questions and maintains a clear overall focus: it identifies long working hours, commuting, and competing household duties as reasons, then suggests prioritising time, reducing screen use, and working from home where possible. The examples of healthcare and police shifts and long commutes in large cities make the causes more concrete. This meets the task well, but the solutions are less fully developed than the causes. For instance, “arrange and prioritize their chores” is broad, and the work-from-home suggestion applies only to some occupations. Explain how employers or public policy could make exercise more accessible, and develop one or two solutions with practical detail. The conclusion restates the main point but could more directly summarise the proposed actions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Secondly,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the overall direction. The progression is generally logical, but cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and the causes paragraph contains many points in one long block. Repeated “Nowadays” and “Also” make the links feel formulaic, while the shift from lack of time to laziness could be signposted more clearly as a separate reason. Divide the causes into clearer units or use more precise links showing contrast, consequence, and addition. This would make the relationships between ideas easier to follow and reduce reliance on stock transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response attempts a useful range of topic vocabulary, including “work-life balance,” “commuting,” “inflation,” and “lifestyle-related diseases,” and the main ideas remain understandable. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision and sometimes make the reader pause: “neumours,” “focous,” “compeititive,” “lazziness,” and “diabeates” are examples. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “spare time to do exercise” and “get the enough time.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “make time to exercise” and “allow sufficient time.” More precise vocabulary would help express the ideas without relying on repeated general terms such as “time” and “work.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
There is an attempt to use both simple and complex structures, including conditional clauses (“if a person wants to spare some time”) and a relative clause (“which would give better work-life balance”). The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some sentence structures and agreement patterns are inaccurate. For example, “some people believes” should have a plural verb, and “which left no room” does not match the present-tense context. The opening sentence also has an unclear construction around “due to lack of the time and physical mobility.” Long sentences with several clauses make these problems harder to control. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and consistent tense, and split overloaded sentences while retaining a mix of sentence forms.
