Student answer (Band 6.0)

Alot of people today do very little to no workout at all throughout the week, and this had lead them with various disease and obesity related problems. The reasons of this behavioral pattern and the possible solutions are discussed below.

To begin with, the primary reason why people tend to skip workout is their busy schedule. The daily 9 to 5 job and addition to that, the travelling time adds up alot of stress and demotivates the youth to give time to their hobby and take care of their health. Many people tend to eat out and because that are fat and carb heavy food, it adds up eventually to their weight and that leads them to many disease. Apart from that reason, people also have anxiety about how they look and they feel ashamed to go to gym or fitness centre.Their concern is about people will stare them and might make fun of them. It makes them uncomfortable to move in the gym and they end up being at home in front of the screen. And lastly, one of the major reason of their mentality is they need instant results. They do not want to admit that it takes alot of time and patience to achieve the goal physique they are chasing, and it leads to quite too early by them.

First of all, to discuss about the possible solutions about fixing health via workout, is to build a schedule. It takes constant efforts to be put into daily habits to get that level of consistency to move yourself to hit the gym on daily or atleast few times a week. So it should began with accountability. Secondly, it depends on our hand. To elaborate it, we have to stop thinking about how people percieve us. Or else we would never be able to fix our health issues, and it will keep deterioting. When we go to gym and meet new people, it helps us grow together and they motivate each other to acheive our goal physique.

To summarise above discussion, it solely depends on how consistently we motivate ourself to move toward our goal without the stress about others perspective on us. This is what we need to fix our health problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions by identifying reasons such as demanding work schedules, commuting, anxiety about being judged at the gym, and expecting quick results, then suggesting routine-building and greater confidence. These are relevant responses to the task. However, the causes receive more explanation than the solutions: “build a schedule” and “stop thinking about how people perceive us” are useful starting points, but you do not explain how employers, workplaces, or communities could make exercise easier. Some claims, such as linking eating out directly to weight gain, are also broad and would benefit from a specific example or clearer qualification. Develop each proposed solution and show how it would address the barriers you have identified.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing within the causes paragraph is generally understandable, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Apart from that,” and “To summarise” help readers follow the discussion. At times, however, the linking feels mechanical, particularly with “First of all” and “Secondly,” and the solutions paragraph moves from scheduling to personal confidence without a clear explanation of their relationship. Some references are also unclear, as in “they motivate each other” and “This is what we need to fix our health problems.” Use more precise links between ideas and make pronouns refer unmistakably to people or actions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of topic vocabulary, including “busy schedule,” “anxiety,” “accountability,” and “consistency,” which helps communicate the main points. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “goal physique,” though this is not a natural fit for a formal essay. Several spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy, including “Alot,” “deterioting,” “perceive,” and “acheive.” Some collocations are awkward or imprecise: “skip workout,” “fat and carb heavy food,” and “leads them to quite too early” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Aim for accurate, conventional phrasing and check spelling; this will make your vocabulary more effective without requiring unnecessarily complex words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “that,” and “when,” and the overall meaning is usually clear. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. For example, “this had lead them” has an incorrect verb form, while “one of the major reason … is” needs plural agreement. In “because that are fat and carb heavy food,” the clause is not grammatically complete, and “it should began” uses the wrong verb form. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after full stops. Review subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for a complete, correctly punctuated structure.
