Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions: you explain that work pressure and sedentary office jobs leave people stressed or tired, then suggest workplace exercise time, health programmes and accessible gyms. These are relevant responses, and the conclusion restates the main problem and solutions. However, some points are only briefly explained. For example, the link between fear of job loss and having no time to exercise could be made clearer, and the proposed health programme is not described in enough detail to show how it would change behaviour. Add a specific example or explain the practical effect of each solution—for instance, how scheduled activity breaks could fit into a working day—to develop your ideas more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. The sequence is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “However” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the argument. At times, though, linking is mechanical or unclear. The opening says there are “several reasons” and “possible solutions,” but the relationship between the ideas is not always smoothly expressed; the sentence beginning “Secondly” also shifts abruptly from job pressure to office work. Some references, such as “they” in the solutions paragraph, could be more precise. Use clearer transitions between related points and connect each explanation directly to its main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “deadline pressure,” “physical activities,” “health issues” and “workplace,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make the writing less natural, such as “do work out,” “lot health issues,” “white collars job” and “engange therselves in workout.” Repetition of “tired,” “stress” and “workplace” also restricts variety. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully; for example, use “exercise regularly,” “a range of health problems” and “sedentary office jobs.” More precise vocabulary would help you explain causes and solutions without relying on repeated general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures with “Consequently” and “As a result,” and a relative clause in “the program which mainly focus on the health issues.” However, errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “most of the people finds,” “there are possible solution,” and “the program … focus”; these should be “people find,” “there are possible solutions,” and “the programme … focuses.” Some punctuation also makes sentence boundaries unclear, as in “Secondly. white collars job.” Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct singular or plural forms, and appropriate punctuation. This will make your meaning more consistently easy to follow.
