The system used for rubbish/garbage collection in your local area is not working properly. This is causing problems for you and your neighbours. Write a letter to the local council. In your letter

• describe how the rubbish collection system is not working properly
• explain how this is affecting you and your neighbours
• suggest what should be done about the problem

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Student answer (Band 7.0)

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter on behalf of whole Neighborhood of avenue street, to request council to work on garbage collection system as we are facing issues regarding regularity and effectiveness of system.

In my area rubbish is not collected regularly and even when collected workers often make mess, they are not being careful while collecting it and often scatter garbage all over the front yard. scattered garbage creates various problems to me and society. Firstly it creates hygiene issues in neighborhood. Secondly, excess garbage creates perfect environment for mosquito breeding, making area an insect habitat potentially leading to various diseases.

From my observation workers are not trained enough for new automated garbage collection trucks resulting in improper collection so a proper training program will be very helpful. Along with that navigation system to ensure all areas are collected daily will be very beneficial for regular collection.

I am hopping for prompt actions to make garbage collection regular and proper.
