IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The system used for rubbish/garbage collection in your local area is not working properly. This is causing problems for you and your neighbours. Write a letter to the local council. In your letter

• describe how the rubbish collection system is not working properly
• explain how this is affecting you and your neighbours
• suggest what should be done about the problem

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Dear council team,

I hope you are doing well. I am Manpreet kaur resident of Crystal area and writing this letter about the garbage collection system which is not working properly for last four days. While checking, I came across that there is technical issue in the garbage chutes and stucks garbage inside. Due to this, All residents are facing number of issues such as dealing with mosquitoes, bad odour and respiratory problems which can be adverse issue if this situation could not resolved as soon as possible.

I would kindly suggest some ways to solve this problem as Muncipal team can take initative to inspect the main issue of rubbish system and if they are not able to resolve this currently then they can provide alternative garbage collecting service. I believe that this way, society can get some relief
