Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Percentage of households with electrical appliances (1920-2019)
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The line graphs illustrates the electrical appliances Washing machine, Refrigerator, Vaccum Cleaner in households in a country from 1920 to 2019, and the number of hours they spent for housework washing clothes, preparing meals, cleaning in a week.
Overall the usage of eletronics percentage had raised over the years. Refrigerator has taken a quick raise that from 0% in 1920 to 100% in 1980. Meanwhile the Refrigerator had raise from 40% in 1920 to 70% in 1960 and a dramatical changes little fall in 1980 to again boost back and reaches to 75% in 2019.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the broad pattern that appliance ownership increased while housework time fell, and you include several relevant figures. However, the report is only partly accurate and the main features are not consistently presented. The refrigerator rose from about 2%, not 0%, in 1920, and it is the washing-machine figures—not the refrigerator figures—that you describe as rising from 40% to 70% before falling in 1980. The washing machine then recovered to 75% by 2019. Your overview also says appliance use increased generally, but does not clearly note that refrigerators and vacuum cleaners reached full household ownership, while washing machines remained lower. The housework figure is about 11 hours in 2019, rather than 10. Check each series carefully and select its defining trend and endpoint.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs describing appliance ownership and housework. This gives the reader a basic route through the information. However, progression within the overview is confusing because the refrigerator is discussed twice, and the second description actually refers to washing machines. Linking phrases such as “Meanwhile,” “Whereas,” and “At the end” are used, but some do not clearly show the relationship between the data, and “Whereas” begins a fragment-like transition. The final sentence repeats the overview rather than adding a useful comparison. Organise the body by series or by contrasting trends, and use clear references such as “By contrast, housework time…” to make relationships explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “percentage,” “households,” “declined,” and “per week,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts difficult to interpret. “Usage of electronics percentage” is an awkward way to describe ownership, while “quick raise,” “dramatical changes,” and “boost back” are not natural choices for chart trends. There are also repeated misspellings, including “Vaccum,” “eletronics,” and “declaines.” Use precise trend language and check spelling: for example, describe a figure as “rose sharply,” “fell slightly,” or “remained stable,” and refer to the “proportion of households owning an appliance.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a few longer structures, including the opening sentence and the contrast introduced by “Whereas,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “The line graphs illustrates” and “the working hours … was 50 hours”; the subject and verb do not match. Several clauses are joined without clear grammatical structure, as in “Refrigerator has taken a quick raise that from 0% …,” and the sentence beginning “Whereas the Vaccum cleaner…” is not properly connected to the following idea. Articles and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent. These problems sometimes make the intended comparison harder to follow. Practise writing complete, controlled sentences with a clear subject and verb, such as “Refrigerator ownership rose from about 2% in 1920 to 100% in 1980.”
