The following article summarises changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between the year 1920 and 2019.

From the year 1920 to 2019 there has been 100% ownership of refrigerators , Vacuum cleaners were initially at 30% and gradually increased to 100% in 2000. Washing machines ownership still lacks in many households the graph depicted 40% ownership in 1920 which grew at an abnormal rate up to 75% in the year 2019 .

Due to the ownership of such house help appliances the number of hours of housework per week and per household has been declining at an alarming rate. The housework includes washing clothes, preparing meals and cleaning the house.

The data shows 50 hours of work per week in 1920 which fell to 10 hours in the year 2019 , the key reason is the technological advancement.
