Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the charts, including the trends for appliances and the inverse relationship with housework hours. However, the reporting is sometimes inaccurate or confusing. For example, stating that refrigerators grew from '0 to 100 percent' is a significant over-generalisation, and the description of the washing machine's trend is unclear. The data points mentioned are occasionally inconsistent with the visual information provided. To reach a higher band, you must ensure that the data is reported with greater precision and that the comparison between the appliances and the time spent on housework is more clearly articulated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'Firstly' and 'Secondly' are used, but the internal flow within paragraphs is disjointed. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'them it is to be the same as refrigerator', which makes the progression of ideas difficult to follow. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly improve the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'rocket high growth', 'fluctuated growth and fall', and 'gradually raised'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of the information being presented. While you attempt to use some descriptive language, the lack of precision in terminology (e.g., using 'growth' for all trends) restricts your ability to convey the data effectively. Expanding your range of verbs and adverbs to describe trends more accurately is essential for a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the response, including subject-verb agreement issues ('A refrigerator and Vacuum cleaner has recorded', 'Refrigerators seen'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence structures. The attempt at complex sentences often results in errors that can cause difficulty for the reader, such as 'in a single nation how people changes in ownership'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and subject-verb agreement.
