Vacuum cleaner and washing machine accounted for 30% and 40% respectively in the year of 1920 and each represented 70% after 4 decade. By 2000, refrigerator and vacuum cleaner accounted for same figure at 100%, whereas washing machine remained unchanged at 70%, before falling slightly. At the end, refrigerator and vacuum machine stood for 100%, while washing machine marginally increased to approximately 75%.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have successfully identified the main trends and provided a clear overview. You covered all three appliances and the housework time data. However, there are some inaccuracies in your reporting of the data. For example, you stated that the washing machine remained unchanged at 70% before falling, whereas the graph indicates a different trajectory. Additionally, you mentioned the refrigerator and vacuum cleaner reached 100% by 2000, but the graph shows they reached this point at different times. To improve, ensure you double-check the data points against the visual information to avoid misrepresenting the trends.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. You use cohesive devices such as 'In contrast', 'Meanwhile', and 'whereas' to link ideas effectively. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the appliances from the housework time. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. For instance, the transition between the 2000 data and the final 2019 data in the third paragraph is a bit abrupt. Overall, the information is easy to follow and the progression is clear.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information clearly, using terms like 'fluctuated', 'dramatically', and 'marginally'. However, there are some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'least household consisted refrigerator' and 'stood for 100%'. These errors do not impede communication, but they highlight a need for more precise usage. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices are contextually accurate for describing statistical trends.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical slips, such as 'percentages of house' (should be 'households'), 'after 4 decade' (should be 'decades'), and 'refrigerator and vacuum machine stood for 100%'. There are also minor issues with articles and pluralization. Despite these errors, your writing remains understandable. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of plural nouns when discussing data points.
