Student answer (Band 5.0)
this chart is really very interesting where it shows how technology take control over our working hours.
according to the chart, in 1920 people (i don't say women) worked for 50 hours per week which decreased year by year and now in 2019 people is working for 10 hours in a week in their hose.
so, there actually rise a question, what helps them in household work? the answer we will find in the first flow chart, where it shows in 1920, 0 percent of people were using refrigerator whereas now in 2019. all of us are using refrigerator and even we cant think of one day without it.
again, in 1920 only 30% of people used vacuum cleaner and now in 2019 about 100% of people is using it. and lastly, in 1920 about 40% people used washing machine and now a days about 75% people are using washing machine.
So, to me the uses of technology in all kinds of household works will increase day by day for our betterment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response covers the main features of the charts, identifying the trends in appliance ownership and the decline in housework hours. However, the tone is overly informal and subjective, which is inappropriate for an Academic Task 1 report. The inclusion of personal commentary, such as 'to me' and 'all of us are using', detracts from the objective nature of the task. Furthermore, the data reporting is somewhat imprecise; for example, stating 'about 100%' is vague, and the analysis lacks a clear overview or summary of the relationship between the two sets of data, which is essential for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response is organised into short paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inappropriate for an academic context, such as starting a sentence with 'so, there actually rise a question'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between the two charts is disjointed. While the reader can follow the general points, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the informal structure limit the coherence of the report.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic phrasing like 'really very interesting' and 'take control over'. There is little attempt to use academic or precise terminology to describe trends (e.g., 'fluctuated', 'plummeted', 'gradual increase'). The word choice is often informal, such as 'hose' (likely a typo for 'house') and 'now a days', which are not suitable for an IELTS Academic task. To improve, the student needs to incorporate a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary related to data analysis.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('people is working', 'people is using') and awkward sentence construction ('there actually rise a question'). The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences starting with lowercase letters and others lacking proper structure. A greater variety of complex sentence forms and closer attention to basic grammatical rules are required to reach a higher band.
