Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response effectively covers all key features of the charts. You have successfully identified the main trends for both appliance ownership and the decline in housework time. The comparison between the appliances is clear, and the data is accurately reported. To reach a higher band, ensure that the overview is more integrated; for instance, you could explicitly link the rise in appliance ownership to the decline in housework time as a potential cause-and-effect relationship. Overall, the response is well-structured and addresses all parts of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. The progression of ideas is easy to follow. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Whereas' and 'This was followed by', although some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The paragraphing is appropriate, separating the two distinct data sets effectively. To improve, try to vary your linking phrases further to ensure the flow between sentences is more natural and less reliant on simple sequence markers.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information clearly. Phrases like 'surged to', 'remained constant', and 'dipped down' are used appropriately. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in collocation and word choice, such as 'the number of households ownership' (which should be 'the percentage of households owning') and 'constant declined' (which should be 'constant decline'). Expanding your range of academic collocations would help elevate the response to a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical slips, such as 'all three electrical appliances ownership increased' (should be 'ownership of all three electrical appliances increased') and 'stayed unchanged by 2019' (should be 'remained unchanged until 2019'). Additionally, the sentence fragment 'Regarding time spent on...' lacks a main verb. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and ensuring every sentence is complete will improve your accuracy significantly.
