The charts illustrate the percentage of households with electrical appliances and number of hours of housework per week per household between 1920 and 2019.
Overall, it is evident that vacuum cleaner and refrigerator hold a greater number of households, while washing machine slightly fluctuated, whereas number of hours per week tended to decline throughout the period.
Regarding the percentage, in 1920, refrigerator accounted for 0% households, but it soared to 90% in 1960, slightly rose to 100% in 1980, and remained stable till 2019. Meanwhile, vacuum cleaner stood at 30% in 1920, which then significantly climbed to 100% in 2000, and remained unhanged till 2019, whereas washing machine represented 40% in 1920, rose to 70% in 1960, before slightly declined to nearly 60% in 1980, it then gradually

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have successfully identified the main trends and provided a clear overview of the data. You covered all parts of the task, including the appliance ownership percentages and the decline in housework hours. The data is accurately reported, and you made relevant comparisons between the categories. To reach a higher band, ensure that your overview is slightly more analytical; for instance, you could explicitly link the rise in appliance ownership to the reduction in housework hours as a cause-and-effect relationship, which would demonstrate a more sophisticated level of data interpretation.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'meanwhile', 'whereas', and 'turning to', which help guide the reader through the data. However, there are minor issues with punctuation and sentence structure, such as the comma splice in the third paragraph ('...in 1980, it then gradually increased...'). Improving the control of these linking structures would enhance the flow and make the progression of ideas even smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the trends accurately, using terms like 'soared', 'plummeted', and 'remained stable'. There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'hold a greater number of households' (which is slightly unnatural) and 'remained unhanged' (a spelling error). To improve, try to use more precise collocations when describing data trends. While your vocabulary is adequate for the task, incorporating a few more sophisticated, less common lexical items would help you move into the higher band range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are some grammatical slips, such as missing articles ('the refrigerator', 'the vacuum cleaner') and the aforementioned comma splice. Additionally, 'it then gradually increased' after a comma creates a run-on sentence. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are punctuated correctly will significantly improve your accuracy.
