The charts below show the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two diagrams illustrate the percentage of households with electrical appliances and the number of hours of housework per week, where there are changes in ownership from 1920 to 2019.

Overall, from 1920 the usage of the refrigerator in the households has 0% while washing machine and vacuum cleaner has nearly the same from 30-40% while in 1940 it increased significantly where the three house hold electrical appliances nearly the same percentages 50-60%. Meanwhile the number of hours of housework in a house in one country from 1920 to 2019 per week from 50 then progressively decline until reach to 10 in 2019.

In detail, in 1920 where the refrigerator had no changes of ownership of electrical appliances from 0 it climbed further at the top which 100% in 1980 then in 2000 it remained unchanged until 2019. And then the washing machine and vacuum cleaner in 1920 have nearly the same percentage 30 to 40%, then in 1940 it slightly climbed both to around 50 -60% until 1960 it stuck together to 70% then both separated in 1980 the washing machine declined to 65% while the vacuum spike further to 90% until reached to 100% in 2000 until 2019 with the same level of the refrigerator both 100%. Meanwhile the washing machine slightly increased to 70% in 2000 then in 2019 became 75%. which are the lowest electrical appliances.

Additionally, the time spent doing the housework per week which is washing clothes, cleaning and then preparing meals from 50 hours per week in 1920 has considerably decreased to 15 hours per week in 1980, and then in 2000 remained unchanged to 15 while in 2019 drop to the lowest hours of 10.

In Summary, the refrigerator and the vacuum cleaner have the highest percentage ownership of electrical appliances in 2019 than in the washing machine. While the hours per week in 2019 working in the household decreased only to 10 hours per week.
