Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the task but fails to provide a clear or accurate summary of the data. The overview is confusing, and the description of trends is often factually incorrect based on the provided charts (e.g., claiming all appliances reached 100% in 1980, 2000, and 2019). The data selection is inconsistent, and the report ends abruptly with an incomplete sentence, leaving the task unfinished. Key features are not highlighted effectively, and the comparison between the two charts is weak. To improve, focus on identifying the most significant trends—such as the inverse relationship between appliance ownership and housework time—and ensure all data points are accurately transcribed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is frequently interrupted by unclear phrasing and disjointed sentences. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In addition' and 'On the other hand,' but they are often applied incorrectly or do not link ideas logically. The referencing is sometimes confusing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the intended meaning. The abrupt ending of the text significantly impacts the overall coherence of the response. Improving the use of transition signals and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, unified focus would help the flow of information.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'the refrigerator was the began from scratch' and 'washing machine was access remained stable.' These errors occasionally impede communication, as the reader must guess the intended meaning. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the data with precision. To reach a higher band, you should practice using more precise verbs and nouns related to data description, such as 'fluctuated,' 'remained constant,' or 'a significant decline,' and ensure that words are used in their correct grammatical form.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with verb tense, subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. Examples include 'refrigerator and vacuum cleaner were the maximum number' and 'all the three electrical appliances were reach 100 percentage.' Many sentences are fragmented or poorly constructed, which makes the text difficult to read. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the errors are pervasive enough to cause some difficulty for the reader. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like article usage and verb forms will be essential for improvement.
