Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers all parts of the task by identifying the main trends for appliance ownership and housework hours. However, the overview is somewhat weak; it lists data points rather than synthesising the overall trends (e.g., the inverse relationship between appliance ownership and time spent on housework). The description of the data is generally accurate, but the reporting of figures is occasionally imprecise, such as stating the refrigerator reached 'around hundred %' rather than specifying the trend clearly. To improve, focus on highlighting the most significant changes and comparisons rather than listing every data point chronologically.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'First of all', 'Next graph'). There are also issues with sentence-level cohesion, such as the awkward transition in the second paragraph: 'also vacuum cleaner was maximum...'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and better punctuation to separate distinct ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'spended time' (should be 'time spent'), 'periode' (spelling), and 'house holds' (should be 'households'). The phrasing is often simplistic, relying on basic verbs like 'reached' and 'increased'. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to trends, such as 'plateaued', 'witnessed a steady decline', or 'surpassed'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'The considerable change made in the form of increasing percentage', 'Next graph showing the housework number', and missing articles throughout the text. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and capitalization after periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band score.
