The two pie charts illustrate the proportions of the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019.
overall, it is evident that Refrigerator accounted for the largest proportion in 1960 and 1980, whereas washing machine represented the smallest share. Furthermore, vacuum cleaner experienced the most significant increase, while washing machine remained relatively stable.
in 1920, washing machine consituted the largest share, at 40%, followed by vacuum cleaner, which accounted for 30%. By comparison in 2019 refrigerator and vacuum cleaner made up 100%, while washing machine represented only 72%.
in 1960, however, the proportion of Refrigerator rose to 90%, whereas washing machine and vavum cleaner both are same increased to 70%.
