Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given two line graph illustrate the information about the ownership and the amount of time spent doing housework by electrical gadgets in a household in one country between 1920 and 2019.
Overall, the three different different gadgets are Washing machine, Refrigerator, and vacuum cleaner. Initially refrigerator was owned by zero number of households. While other two are owned by almost 30 to 40 percent of the household in the beganing.
To begin with, in the year 1920 vacuum cleaner and washing machine was owned by 30% and 40% of households respectively. vacuum Cleaners ownership went up dramatically all the way to 100% in the year 2019. Whereas, washing machine rise up to 70% in the next 40 years. However, it shows a little decline in its ownership. For the last 39 years it rises up constantly.
On the other hand, refrigerator was not present in a single household, Eventually it went up constantly for the next 40 years, reaching 90%. It get constant after reaching 100% in the next 20 years. Beside the other graph depicts the number of hours of housework per week. In the initial year, these appliances work almost 50 hours per week. However, the number of hours these works decreases by the time passes by and by the year 2019 its working hours almost reached to 10 hours.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers the main features of the charts, including the trends for appliance ownership and the decline in housework hours. However, the analysis is somewhat mechanical and lacks a clear, integrated overview. While the trends are identified, the description of the data is occasionally inaccurate (e.g., stating the refrigerator reached 100% when the graph shows it plateauing at 90%). The comparison between the two charts is attempted but could be more effectively linked to show the inverse relationship between appliance ownership and time spent on housework. To improve, ensure data points are read precisely and focus on synthesizing the information rather than listing it.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes repetitive or slightly unnatural (e.g., 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', 'Beside the other graph'). The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the phrase 'these appliances work almost 50 hours per week', which incorrectly attributes the work to the appliances rather than the household members. Paragraphing is present, but the transition between the appliance data and the housework data could be smoother to improve the overall flow of the report.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'zero number of households', 'in the beganing', and 'these works decreases'. The vocabulary is generally functional but repetitive, relying on basic verbs like 'went up' and 'rises'. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more varied and precise terminology related to trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'plateaued', or 'a significant reduction'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('The given two line graph illustrate', 'refrigerator was not present... it went up'), tense inconsistencies ('washing machine rise up'), and awkward phrasing ('by the time passes by'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the sentence construction often feels clunky. Focusing on consistent verb tenses—especially when describing historical data—and ensuring subject-verb agreement will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
