Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response identifies the main trends, such as the increase in appliance ownership and the decrease in housework hours. However, the analysis is incomplete and lacks precision. For example, the description of the washing machine trend is vague ('fluctuated and reached at above 70%'), and the final sentence is incomplete, failing to finish the comparison. The report lacks a clear overview that synthesizes the relationship between the two datasets. To improve, ensure all data points are clearly described and provide a cohesive summary that links the rise in technology to the reduction in domestic labor time.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'After, this percentage was remained steady' and 'while, the number hours spent on household work was inclined' show a lack of control over transition signals. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the final paragraph ends abruptly without a complete thought, which disrupts the logical flow of the response. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely heavily on basic terms like 'percentage', 'number', and 'reached'. There are also several collocation errors, such as 'number of hours utilizes' (should be 'spent') and 'inclined' (which is misused here; 'declined' or 'decreased' would be more appropriate for the housework data). To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise vocabulary related to trends, such as 'soared', 'plummeted', 'gradual increase', or 'plateaued', and ensure that words are used in their correct grammatical context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('was remained steady'), missing articles ('the percentage of refrigerator'), and subject-verb agreement errors ('the number hours... was inclined'). While there is an attempt at complex sentence structures, they are often faulty or incomplete, as seen in the final sentence. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically the correct use of passive voice for data description and ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and a finished predicate.
