The charts below show the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The charts given show the number of people who owned electric appliances, and the time they spent on doing their household tasks in one country from 1920- 2019.

Overall, it shows that washing machine was owned by many houses in 1920, and the demand of vaccum cleaner was highest in 2019. Refrigerator was owned by maximum people from the years 1980.

In 1920, washing machine was the part of 40% households, vaccum cleaner was used by 30% households and the percentage of households using refrigerator was 0%. The percentage of households using washing machine increased from 40% to 60% in 1940, 70% in 1960 and had a drop to approximately 62% in 1980. There was a small increase to 70% households in 2000 and it increased to approximately 71% in 2019. The percentage of households using refrigerator increased from 0% in 1920 to around 51% in 1940, 90% in 1960 and reached its maximum to 100% in 1980 and stayed to the same percentage from 1980 to 2019.

Vaccum cleaner was owned by 30% households in 1920 and reached to around 71% in 2019.

The number of hours spent on household work gradually decreased from [redacted phone], from 50 hours in 1920 to 10 hours in 2019.
