The charts below show the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line chats illustrate the variation in ownership of electrical devices and total time spent for doing domestic work in a certain country from 1920 to 2019.

Overall, proportion of all electric appliances increased over years. Refrigerator had increased proportion in early years while, vacuum cleaner's proportion was linearly increased. However, Washing machine showed moderate fluctuations. In addition, number of hours used for these devices fall in entire period.

Refrigerator sharply increased its households proportion to 90 in 1960 from very low in 1920. Then slight increased to 100% in 1980 and remained there rest of the period. While, vacuum cleaner was accounted for 30% households which significantly increased to 100% in 2000 and consistent for 2019. In contrast, washing machine had highest proportion of 40 in 1920 which increased to 70 in 1960 before slightly fell to around 65% then recovering again in 2000 and rose around 75% in 2019.

Turing to the second table which tells the utility of electrical appliances in hours per week. Peak used was in 1920 of around 50 hours weekly which significantly fell to around 20 hours in 1960. After it, usage of electrical devices further slightly decreased to approximately 15 hours per week, which remained same for 2000 before slightly down to just above 10 hours each week.
