The charts below show the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The chart illustrates the changes in proportion of house holds with electrical appliances and the amount of time consumed by doing housework in households in a country from 1920 to 2019.

Overall, washing machine had the highest percentage in the beginning of the year, whereas refrigerator had the lowest. All three electrical appliances surged dramatically over the period.

In 1920, refrigerator accounted for the lowest proportion at 0 % and vacuum cleaner at 30% respectively, while washing machine had the highest percentage at 40%. Each electrical appliances experienced an upward trend , by the year 1960 washing machine and vacuum cleaner both were at 70% , whereas refrigerator increased and reached the highest point at 90%.

In 1980, washing machine slightly decreased to approximately 64% before it again increased to 70% in 2000. By the end of the period vacuum cleaner and refrigerator reached the peak at 100%
