Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the broad trends: appliance ownership generally rises, while weekly housework falls, and you note that the lowest housework figure occurs at the end. However, some key details are inaccurate or unclear. The overview says working hours “has been soared,” which suggests an increase, contradicting the chart and your later statement that hours decreased. The claim that vacuum cleaners and refrigerators were the most used appliances “at the beginning” is also incorrect: washing machines were highest in 1920, at about 40%, compared with roughly 30% for vacuum cleaners and almost none for refrigerators. You mention the appliances reaching 100%, but do not distinguish when each did so. A clearer overview and more accurate comparisons would make the report more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic structure, moving from an introduction to an overview and then to details, and phrases such as “Overall” and “We can see” signal some progression. However, the organisation is not consistently clear: the overview’s claim that housework hours rose conflicts with the later description of a decrease, making the relationship between ideas difficult to follow. The appliance paragraph combines several trends without a clear sequence or supporting figures, while the final sentence repeats information already given. Repeated use of “We can see” also makes the linking mechanical. Group the appliance trends together with comparisons, then describe the housework trend, and use accurate, varied transitions to show how the points relate.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “ownership,” “gradual increase,” “rapid decrease,” and “per week,” so the main topic is usually recognisable. However, the range and precision are limited, and several choices are unnatural or misleading. “Apartment work” and “home activity” are not suitable substitutes for housework, while “electrical equipment” is less precise than “electrical appliances.” “Rocketed from avarage and minimum level” is unclear and does not describe the data accurately. There are also spelling errors such as “gadет,” “vaccum,” and “avarage.” Aim for accurate chart language such as “rose,” “fell,” “remained stable,” and “reached 100%,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and more extended sentence forms, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning unclear. For example, “the percentage of electrical appliances are increasing” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “the count of working hour has been soared” combines an incorrect verb form with an unsuitable tense construction. The phrase “We can see the at the beginning” contains an extra article, while “between 1920 to 2019” uses an incorrect preposition pattern. Punctuation is also weak, as in “Overall, the” and the missing space after the comma. Use straightforward, accurate past-tense descriptions of the historical data, and check agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence punctuation.
