Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You provide a clear overview of the main patterns: appliance ownership generally increased, while time spent on housework fell. The response also includes relevant comparisons and several key figures, such as washing machines at about 40% in 1920 and housework at 50 hours. Most trends are accurately described, including the refrigerator reaching full ownership by 1980 and vacuum cleaners doing so by 2000. Some details are over-generalised or imprecise: washing-machine ownership was about 75% in 2019, rather than returning to the 1960 level of around 70%, and housework fell to 15 hours by 1980, then remained there until 2000 before dropping to about 11. Including these stages would make the account more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The response is organised into a clear introduction, overview and two detail paragraphs, with a sensible progression from appliance ownership to housework hours. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “then,” and “In 2019” help readers follow the comparisons. The main opportunity is to make some references and transitions more precise. For example, “These dropped to around 20 in 1960 and continued to do so till 2019” is unclear because the hours did not keep falling at the same rate: they levelled off at 15 hours in 1980 and 2000. Likewise, “this pattern” could identify more explicitly that refrigerator ownership remained at 100%. Clearer links between each figure and its trend would strengthen the progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for describing trends, including “grew,” “dropped,” “less common,” and “continued.” The meaning is generally clear, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for this task. “Electrical equipments” is not the usual form; “electrical appliances” is more appropriate, and “time utilized in domestic work” is less natural than “time spent on housework.” There are also spelling errors in “domesic” and “Similary.” Some repetition of “house” and “around” limits flexibility. Aim for precise collocations and a few varied trend verbs, while checking spelling and choosing standard chart-description language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including time clauses such as “when around 70% of houses had it” and a contrast introduced by “as compared to 1920.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. In “the percentage of houses which had washing machine were,” the singular subject requires “was,” and the noun phrase needs an article: “a washing machine.” “Vacuum cleaner were” also needs plural agreement or a singular construction. The final sentence, “In 2019, number of hours … were around 10 means,” combines clauses without a clear grammatical link. More careful agreement, articles and sentence boundaries would improve accuracy.
