The line graphs illustrates the changes in ownership of electrical appliances namely washing machine, refrigerator, and vacuum cleaner and amount of time spent doinig household chores in family house in one country in 1920 to 2019.

Whereas, vacuum cleaner grow steadily at exactly 30% in 1920, 50% in 1940, 70% in 1960, 90% in 1980, and remained stable at 100% between 2000 and 2019. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover both graphs and provide a clear overview: appliance ownership generally increased, while housework time fell. The main trends and several key comparisons are accurately reported, including refrigerators reaching 100%, vacuum cleaners rising to 100% by 2000, and washing-machine ownership dipping around 1980 before recovering. Some details are less precise: the refrigerator figure in 1920 is about 2%, not 1%, and housework in 1940 is about 35 hours, rather than 37. The overview also says appliance ownership rose throughout, although washing-machine ownership briefly declined. To strengthen the response, make the overview reflect this exception and report the housework series with clearer year-by-year comparisons. The response addresses the task well overall, but not every feature is equally precise or fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph describing appliance ownership, and a final paragraph on housework. This gives the information a coherent overall arrangement, and the contrast introduced by “On the other hand” helps signal the shift to the second graph. However, some linking is mechanical or awkward. The appliance paragraph repeatedly begins with “Whereas” and “While,” creating sentence fragments rather than smooth comparisons, and the final sentence compresses several years and figures into one difficult sequence. Grouping the appliance trends more deliberately and using complete sentences with clear year references would improve progression. For example, compare the refrigerator and vacuum cleaner’s rapid rises, then describe the washing machine’s temporary dip separately. Overall, the organisation is clear, though cohesion is not consistently controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for describing trends, including “increased significantly,” “grow steadily,” “remained stable,” “fell sharply,” and “plateau.” These choices show an attempt to vary language beyond basic descriptions. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “appliences,” “refregerator,” “doinig,” and “hourse.” Some expressions are also unnatural or unclear: “experienced 1% of household,” “accumulated to 40%,” and “declined consistency.” Use standard chart-reporting collocations such as “accounted for,” “stood at,” “rose to,” and “declined steadily,” while checking spelling carefully. The vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main trends, but errors and imprecise collocations prevent consistently clear, natural reporting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors occur across the response, and some complex constructions are faulty. The opening says “The line graphs illustrates,” where the plural subject requires “illustrate”; the overview also needs an article in “whereas the number of hours … declined.” In the appliance paragraph, “Whereas, vacuum cleaner grow steadily” is not a complete, correctly formed clause, and “remained the same … at 100%” does not clearly express the period. The final sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure for linking the figures to their years. Practise complete comparative sentences, consistent past-tense verbs, and accurate articles and agreement. Greater control of these patterns would make the data easier to follow.
