Student answer (Band 5.0)
the multiline chart depicts the imformation in terms of percentile about difference in ownership of electric gadgets and value of time use doing household work in homes in a single nation from year 1920 to 2019
on analaysing the chart it can be clearly seen that usage of refrigerator in 1920 was 0 percent which follows a upward trend till 1980 accounted of 100 percent and remain constant till final year.moreover ownership of refrigerator is more then others gadegets in initial year around 40 percent along this it follows a zig zag trend every year till 1980 value of 55 % and remain growing till 2019 accounted of 74%
moving further it became lucid that usage of vaccume cleaner was 30% in initial year which increase every year upto 100% in year 2000 and it also follows a constant path till final year with same value of 100%.in cotrast multitueds use to work more in initial year around 50 hours per week but in modern era individuals use to avoid household work and the pathh follow a decline trend till the final year around 10 hours per week
hence it became evident that usage of washing machine follows a continous upward trend and number of working hour decrease every year

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the overall period and report several relevant trends, including the refrigerator reaching full ownership by 1980 and housework hours declining from about 50 to around 10. However, the response only partially covers the chart: the washing-machine figures are not clearly reported, and the overview is incomplete. There is also a significant mix-up in the refrigerator paragraph: you say it was more common than the other appliances at the start, although it began at about 2%, below washing machines and vacuum cleaners. The washing-machine trend is described as continuously rising, but it actually dips from about 70% to 65% before recovering. Select the main comparisons accurately and give a concise overview of all four series.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has some organisation: it moves from an opening description to appliance trends, then housework, and ends with a summary. Basic linking expressions such as “moreover,” “moving further,” and “in contrast” help signal relationships. However, the progression is not consistently clear because the refrigerator and washing-machine information becomes confused within the same paragraph, and the final sentence repeats a trend rather than drawing the main features together. Several long sentences run together without full stops, making relationships between ideas harder to follow. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and key comparisons, and connect each appliance clearly to its own figures.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of task-related vocabulary, including “upward trend,” “constant,” “decline,” and “ownership,” so the reader can generally recognise the intended topic. However, word choice and spelling errors are frequent enough to make some details difficult to interpret. Examples include “imformation,” “percentile” for percentage, “gadgets,” “multitueds,” and “pathh.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “value of time use doing household work” and “individuals use to avoid household work.” Prefer precise chart language and familiar collocations, for example, “the proportion of households owning appliances” and “time spent on housework.” Proofreading spelling would also improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt longer sentences and some subordinate structures, such as “which follows a upward trend till 1980,” but these are often faulty, and the response relies heavily on simple trend statements. Errors in articles, verb forms, agreement, and sentence boundaries occur throughout. For example, “it can be clearly seen that usage … was 0 percent which follows” shifts tense, while “ownership … is more then others” has an unclear comparison structure. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical frame, and several sentences are joined without punctuation. Use past tense consistently for the historical data, form complete sentences, and check subject–verb agreement and articles.
