Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover both charts and provide a clear overview: appliance ownership generally rose, while weekly housework fell. Several key figures and trends are accurately reported, including refrigerators reaching 100% in 1980 and remaining there, and housework dropping from 50 hours to about 11. The response also identifies the washing machine’s comparatively modest overall rise. Some details, however, are incomplete or imprecise: washing-machine ownership was about 40% in 1920, not around 30%, and it rose to 70% by 1960 rather than increasing only slightly across that period. The housework figure was already 15 hours in 1980 and stayed there in 2000, rather than remaining at 20 after 1960. More precise comparisons and coverage of these stages would strengthen the report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement, with an introduction, an overview and separate paragraphs describing appliance ownership and housework. This makes the main trends easy to locate. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Similarly” and “Lastly” help guide the reader, although some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “it peaked in year 2000 at 100% until the year 2019” combines the peak and the unchanged final period awkwardly, while the washing-machine account moves between years without clearly distinguishing its rise, dip and recovery. Some long sentences join separate points with commas, weakening the progression. Grouping the appliance comparisons more explicitly and using clearer sentence boundaries and references would make the organisation more controlled.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for describing trends, including “rose significantly,” “remained unchanged,” “declined” and “lowest point.” These choices communicate the broad patterns, and the meaning is generally clear. However, several expressions are imprecise or unnatural for chart reporting: “almost no usage” refers to ownership, “percentage of ownership” is less direct than “proportion of households owning,” and “the figure of using washing machine” is awkward. There is also repetition of “significantly” and “year period,” and “went a slight deep” is an inaccurate word choice. Aim for precise terms such as “ownership,” “share,” “fell slightly” and “levelled off,” while varying trend language and avoiding conversational phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including contrast and time clauses, and the main comparisons remain understandable. Some grammatical errors occur, particularly in sentence construction and articles. For example, “the number of hours of doing household task” has an awkward noun structure and singular/plural mismatch, while “the percentage of the households who owned” uses an unnecessary article and an unsuitable relative pronoun for households. Several clauses are joined with commas, as in “it peaked … at 100% until the year 2019,” making the sentence structure unclear. There are also inconsistent or incomplete time expressions, such as “from 1920-2019.” Practise building complete sentences with accurate articles, plurals and clause boundaries; this will improve control without sacrificing your attempts at complex forms.
