Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the broad pattern that appliance ownership rose while housework time fell, and you include some relevant figures, such as washing machines at 40% initially and housework at about 50 hours. However, several details are inaccurate or unclear: washing-machine ownership reached about 75%, not 79%, and the refrigerator began at roughly 2%, while the vacuum cleaner began at 30%; these are not both 0%. The claim that both appliances reached 100% in 2000 also overlooks that the refrigerator had already reached this level by 1980. Your overview is too general to highlight the distinct trends, including the washing machine’s dip and the refrigerator’s earlier saturation. Select the main comparisons more precisely and report them clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to appliance details and then housework hours. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow, particularly in “refrugerator initiallay commence from 0 in 1920 and 30% both incline intersection in 1940.” The relationships between the appliances and the years are not made clear. Linking words such as “Overall,” “In detailed analysis,” and “probing ahead” are attempted, but some are awkward or do not accurately signal the next point. Use one paragraph for the overview and separate, logically ordered details for appliance ownership and housework, with clear year-by-year comparisons and references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of vocabulary for describing trends, including “surged,” “gradual decline,” “steady increase,” and “touched peak.” However, the range is not controlled consistently, and spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to recover: “electical,” “applinces,” “intrestingly,” and “linear chat” are examples. Some expressions are also unnatural for chart description, such as “appliances owner” and “count of hours work.” Aim for accurate, conventional collocations and use trend verbs only where they fit the data. For example, “ownership increased” or “the figure rose” is clearer than “appliances owner was.” Careful proofreading of spelling and word forms would make your descriptions more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There are attempts to use longer structures, but sentence control is weak and errors frequently obscure the intended relationships. For example, “washing machine was started from 40% in 1920 then surged to 79%” has an incorrect passive construction and an unclear time reference; “Despite had faced gradual decline” is not a complete grammatical clause. The sentence beginning “In case of refrigerator and vacuum cleaner” also lacks clear subjects and agreement, while punctuation is inconsistent, with spaces before commas and missing spaces after full stops. Use straightforward, complete sentences first: identify the appliance, state its figure, and give the year. Then add accurate clauses such as “although it fell slightly in 1980.” This will improve both sentence variety and reliability.
