The given pie chart illustrates that the changes in ownership of electrical equiqements and show that how much time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019.

Overall, it can be seen that the highest percentage recorded who are owner of Refrigerator and Vacuum cleaner while the lowest percentage can be accounted who are owner of washing machine from 1920 to 2019.

According to given graph, ii is obvious that the 0% hoseholds were the owner of Refrrigerator in 1920 and 30% housholds were owner of vacum cleaner while 40% household were owner of washing machine in 1920.

Categorically, it can be clearly seen that the percentage of households increased dramatically who was owner of refrigerator and reach 100% households in 2019. On the other hand, the ratio of households surge moderately who was ownner of washing machine and comprised 70% households in 2019 and the percentage of hoseholds rose up sharply and reach 100% households in 2019.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The response identifies the broad period and mentions appliance ownership, but it does not adequately summarise both charts. The overview claims refrigerators and vacuum cleaners had the highest ownership throughout, overlooking that refrigerators began at about 2% and washing machines were highest in 1920. It also omits the housework-hours trend entirely, a major feature of the task. Some figures are inaccurate: refrigerator ownership was about 2%, not 0%, in 1920, and washing-machine ownership reached about 75%, rather than 70%, in 2019. The final reference to a rise to 100% is unclear and appears to confuse the vacuum-cleaner series. The response is one word below the required minimum; the 13 words copied from the prompt were excluded from the count. Include a clear overview and key comparisons for both charts.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, an overview and two detail paragraphs. This gives the response some organisation, and phrases such as “Overall” and “On the other hand” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is limited because the housework data is not discussed, and the appliance details are not consistently grouped or compared. The final sentence repeats the idea of rising ownership and ends with an unclear reference to 100%, so the reader cannot confidently identify which appliance is meant. Some linking expressions feel mechanical rather than helping the information develop. To improve, organise the details by chart or by clear trends, and use explicit references such as “vacuum-cleaner ownership” instead of “the percentage” when several series are being discussed.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses some task-related vocabulary, including “percentage,” “households,” “increased dramatically” and “moderately,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “owner of Refrigerator” is not a natural way to describe household ownership, while “the ratio of households surge” and “who was ownner” are unsuitable formulations. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “equiqements,” “Refrrigerator,” “vacum” and “hoseholds.” Use precise chart language such as “the proportion of households owning…” and check spelling carefully. Avoid repeating “percentage of households” by varying it with accurate alternatives such as “ownership rate” or “share of households.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts a few longer structures, including “it can be seen that…” and “On the other hand…,” but most sentences rely on similar, basic patterns, and complex attempts are often faulty. For example, “illustrates that the changes … and show that how much time spent” has problems with clause construction and verb form. In “the highest percentage recorded who are owner,” the relationship between the subject and the following clause is not grammatically clear. There are also errors in articles, plurals and agreement, as in “the 0% hoseholds were the owner” and “the percentage … who was owner.” These errors can make the intended meaning harder to understand. Practise forming direct comparison sentences with accurate subjects and verbs, for example, “Refrigerator ownership rose from about 2% to 100%.”
