Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both charts and identify the broad patterns: appliance ownership generally rose, while weekly housework time fell. You also include several relevant figures, such as the vacuum cleaner’s rise from 30% to 100% and the decline in housework from 50 hours. However, some key details are inaccurate or unclear. The refrigerator began at about 2%, not 0%, and reached 100% by 1980, rather than only in 2019. The washing machine did not rise in the first ten years; the first interval shown is 1920–1940, and its ownership dipped from 70% to 65% in 1980 before recovering. The overview also misses the important contrast that refrigerators and vacuum cleaners reached full ownership. Report the main stages more precisely to make the summary more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the appliance figures and housework hours. This gives the reader a sensible route through the information, and phrases such as “Looking at the main details” signal a shift to supporting data. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. “While, Washing machine…” is an incomplete contrast, and “after that it fluctuated in next years” does not specify which years or what changed. The final paragraph repeats the general decline without clearly distinguishing the fall to 1980 from the later stable period and final decrease. Use more precise references and connect comparisons directly, for example by grouping the two appliances that reached 100%.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant chart vocabulary, including “increased sharply,” “peaked,” “fluctuated,” and “remained same,” so the reader can generally understand the trends you intend to describe. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or awkward, which limits precision. “Moderations in ownership” does not naturally describe changes, and “time consumed per week” is not the usual expression for housework hours. There are also spelling errors such as “clerner,” alongside imprecise phrases like “get downed” and “seen as less as.” Aim for standard trend language and accurate forms, such as “ownership,” “accounted for,” “fell,” and “remained unchanged.” This will make the comparisons clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses joined with “however” and “after that.” The main meaning is usually recoverable, but some sentence structures are incomplete or poorly controlled. For example, “While, Washing machine went high…” is a fragment, and “Washing machine it get started from 40%” has an unnecessary repeated subject and an incorrect verb form. Other examples include “it get decreased gradually” and “it get downed till the year of 1980,” where tense and verb construction are faulty. Articles and sentence punctuation also need attention. Practise forming complete past-tense sentences, such as “The figure rose to 60% in 1940, then fluctuated,” and use a clear subject and verb in each clause.
