Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover both charts and provide a clear overview: appliance ownership generally rose, while housework time fell. Several key comparisons are also included, such as refrigerators and vacuum cleaners reaching 100% by 2019 and washing-machine ownership dipping before recovering. This gives the response a relevant, well-focused foundation. Some details, however, are incomplete or imprecise: the refrigerator reached 100% in 1980, not only by 2019, and the washing-machine figures show a rise to 70% in 1960, a fall to 65% in 1980, then growth to 75%. Housework ended at about 11 hours, rather than 10. Adding these intermediate milestones and comparing the appliances more directly would make the account more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a sensible overall structure: an introduction, a summary of the main trends, and separate detail paragraphs for appliance ownership and housework. The contrast marker “In contrast” helps distinguish the opposing trends, and “Moreover” signals an additional appliance comparison. The progression is generally easy to follow, but some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “both had an gradualy increasing trend started in 1920” makes the relationship between the starting values and the trend awkward to follow, while “before declined in 1980 then followed by steadily growth” compresses several stages. Use clearer sequencing such as “rose until 1960, fell slightly by 1980, and then recovered,” and group related figures so comparisons are easier to track.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “percentage,” “in contrast,” “increasing trend,” and “hours per week,” so the main information is understandable. There is also some attempt to vary descriptions of change with “decreased sharply” and “steadily.” However, spelling errors such as “precentage,” “refrigrator,” “gradualy,” and “delined” are noticeable, and several word combinations are unnatural, including “peaked of 100%” and “house owners of washing machine.” The range is adequate for describing the charts, but accuracy and collocation are not yet consistent. Practise standard chart language and check spelling carefully; more precise verbs such as “rose,” “fell,” and “levelled off” will also help avoid repetitive or awkward phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. The overview uses a clear contrast between the appliance trends and housework hours. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur in several places. For example, “every house was have these two devices” has an incorrect verb pattern, and “washing machine started … and remain in increasing trend before declined” does not maintain accurate tense or structure. The final sentence, “had a delined steadly trend started … till reached,” also lacks a well-formed clause. Use past simple consistently for the historical data and practise patterns such as “ownership rose from … to …” and “the figure fell before recovering.”
