Student answer (Band 5.5)
The charts illustrate that what percent of electrical appliances own by one contry and how much time a house spent on housework per week. The chart contain the figures from 1920 to 2019.
Overall, percentage of houses who owns the appliances like refrigrator, washing machine and vacuum cleaner increase. But hours per week of house work decrease gradually through the whole period.
Refrigrator is the one electric machine whose ownership was at zero in 1920 while 30 to 40 percent house holds had ownership of other two appliances. But it got 50 plus percent increse in its ownership till 1940 and then it grow untill he reached 100% ownership. While the same senerio was with vacuum cleaner. Washing machine didnt get such high ownership. Its ownership went up very few percent.
Beyond this fact,as the ownership of appliances increase but working of house work get down. Initially households gave 50 hours per week to their hose work but it down to 10 hourse pr week in 2019

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main overall contrast: appliance ownership generally rose while weekly housework time fell. You also mention the broad starting and ending points, which keeps the response relevant to the charts. However, several details are inaccurate or too vague. Refrigerator ownership was about 2% in 1920, not zero, and washing-machine ownership did not rise by “very few percent”: it increased from about 40% to 75%, despite a dip around 1980. The vacuum cleaner’s trend is not explained clearly, and the final housework figure is about 11 hours rather than 10. To make the report more complete, compare the appliances’ different rates of growth and include key intermediate figures, especially the refrigerator’s early rise and the vacuum cleaner’s later increase.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs describing appliance ownership and housework. The overview gives the reader a useful sense of the charts’ main direction. However, the body does not consistently develop ideas in a clear sequence. For example, “While the same senerio was with vacuum cleaner” does not explain which part of the refrigerator trend is being compared, and the final paragraph’s opening, “Beyond this fact,” creates an unclear link. Some transitions are mechanical, and the appliance details are compressed into a few broad statements. Organise the body around clear comparisons—such as the refrigerator’s rapid rise, the vacuum cleaner’s steady growth, and the washing machine’s slower change—and use explicit references to connect each point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant chart vocabulary, including “ownership,” “percentage,” “increase,” and “decrease,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision. Phrases such as “what percent of electrical appliances own” and “working of house work get down” are not natural ways to describe the data. There are also repeated misspellings, including “contry,” “refrigrator,” and “senerio,” which make the writing less clear. Aim for accurate, standard expressions such as “the proportion of households owning appliances” and “the time spent on housework.” Check spelling carefully and avoid repeating “ownership” when a more precise verb such as “rose” or “reached” would work.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “But” and a clause beginning “while,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “houses who owns” and “it grow untill he reached,” while the opening sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure. Articles and plurals are also unreliable, as in “the same senerio was with vacuum cleaner.” The final sentence, “Initially households gave 50 hours per week to their hose work but it down to 10 hourse,” is missing a verb in its second clause. These errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to follow. Build accuracy first with complete subject–verb–object sentences, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, tense, articles, and punctuation.
