Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the broad subject and include several relevant trends, especially the rise in refrigerator ownership and the fall in housework hours. However, the overview is incomplete and partly inaccurate: the vacuum cleaner did not have the highest ownership in 2019, as both it and the refrigerator reached 100%. Several figures or time references are also wrong: the washing-machine figure of 40% belongs to 1920, not 2019, and refrigerator ownership began at about 2%, rather than zero. The response also omits useful comparisons and the washing machine’s slight fluctuations. It is 144 words, below the required 150-word minimum; the 10 words copied from the prompt are excluded. Add a clearer overview and accurate supporting details to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening, an overview, and later comments on appliance ownership and housework. This gives the reader some sense of the topics being covered. However, progression is difficult to follow because ideas are compressed into long, loosely connected sentences, and the appliance comparisons are not grouped or developed clearly. Connectors such as “more wover,” “in constract,” and “furthermore” are either inaccurate or used mechanically, while “also” does not make the relationship between details clear. The final paragraph repeats the decline in housework without presenting its stages in a clear sequence. Use separate, focused paragraphs and link each comparison explicitly to its year or trend.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “ownership,” “fluctuating trend,” “declined,” and “stayed constant,” so the reader can recognise the main subject and broad movements. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning unclear. For example, “works of house” is not a natural way to describe housework, and “followed the highest trend” does not clearly express that ownership reached a peak. Spelling errors such as “vaccum,” “constract,” and “fellt” are noticeable. Aim for precise trend language and check spelling; alternatives such as “reached a peak” and “household chores” would make the report clearer and more appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine ideas using clauses, for example in “The trend of refrigerator began with 0 while reached at the 100%,” and you use past-tense verbs to describe historical data. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and attempts at longer sentences often contain errors that make relationships between ideas hard to follow. Examples include the missing article in “The trend of refrigerator,” the faulty construction “while reached,” and the unclear tense and clause structure in “The time spent in work declined in each year except the years 1980 and 2000 there was same hours.” Articles, verb forms, and punctuation also need attention. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them accurately with “while,” “whereas,” or “by.”
